Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A friend of mine had a cat who preferred to throw up in the bathtub, when no one was looking. This made cleanup a cinch, but life just a little more fraught for her roommate, who was too sleepy some mornings to check before stepping into the shower....

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Mum's cat pees in the bathtub. Little Brother thought to fix this by putting a towel in the tub. Then instead of having to rinse down the tub, there is also the carrying of a pee-soaked towel to the washer. Silly boy.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Lately she's running to do it right in front of me.

One of mine does that. While it's not my favorite thing ever it is good for two reasons. 1) She's coming to me for comfort/not hiding that she feels bad and 2) there aren't surprises to step in.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Came in here to post that our guest is coming in hours later and sans toddler. But I got distracted by all the animal puking stories and left without posting. Then I remembered.

Seabiscuit does come to us when he's sick. But the worst one was when he broke out through the screen door (of our old duplex) to chase a skunk, got sprayed by the skunk right in the schnozz, and came right back in through the screen door again, snorting and crying, and leapt in bed with us for comfort and aid.

Poor noodle. But oh, it was bad.

So I had anxiety dreams about the house last night. Leaking roof dreams.

So what is it doing right now? Heavy thunder and rainstorm. The day I initialed the last of the repair request changes.

AHRG.

I know we need rain here. JUST NOT THIS WEEK PLEASE.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Yesterday -- we dug up the front area of the garden and replanted ( things that won't grow big enough for a grown man to hide behind . Today we took down 2 over gown bush things . One of which involved stump removal . and 17 thousand tools. and the realization that we have no sledge hammer. I took this week off with intentions of doing muhc of what happened this weekend. Of course, inside the house it looks like a bunch of little elves ran through the house flinging random stuff every where

Art Crawl!!!

So much for the perky me: I seem to have run out of gas at about 3:45 - I started falling asleep and the next thing I knew it was much, much later.

So, I got up and did some dishes (and fed the cats - here's hoping that no puke ensues) and uh, will be starting dinner shortly.

Spare cat sat in my lap for a while without being constantly petted before she slunk back to the closet!

I also signed up for a Time Trader Circle, where I can get people to exchange chores, like weeding, in exchange for website design and car rides, et cetera. In theory, it should be pretty cool... we'll see!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Well, this morning started a bit worryingly when Kripkat disappeared for several minutes...until I found him in a closed dresser drawer, with no idea how he accomplished that. HOWEVER, Kripkat is now sleeping on top of the also-sleeping Immanuel Kat's flank, which is pretty exciting for only nine days together!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I keep looking at Kripkat's name and thinking I didn't realise bon and bob were such huge Supernatural fans. I should maybe read more and watch less.
