Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

information libertarian

Now added to my long list of thing I never really envisioned googling: penile fracture. Thanks ita!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister, ever the anthropologist, found me a link to the daggerin' dance. NSFW rating: Elvis on American Bandstand had *nothing* on this.

It makes me feel so old...but that's not dancing. Not by a long shot.

No. It's dry humping. Or mostly dry humping.

Today I taught Saturday school (little toads didn't do their homework) and we had Grace and Noah's bday party and now I'm lying in bed. Too tired to do much else.

Yesterday? Had the best fish tacos ev-ah! So yum

flea, you must have missed my postings over the years on the subject of biological hydrostats and roadkill armadillo penises (it was an article in Nature, honest! Wrapping the armadillo's penis .)

How was the party, Kat? I can't believe your kids are so grown.

My sister wants me to do research for one of her projects. I'm currently researching research and it's making my head spin. Seems like I'm actually going to have to read the convoluted articles to help her out. She'd better make this worth my while. It's depressing (HIV interventions in men who have sex with men) stuff.

Does researching research mean looking at the methodologies people are using? I'm a freak, but I think that would be fun to read about methods!

The party was good. Lowkey. It's hard to have a kids bday party when you don't allow kids to attend (but understandable as it is a hospital-ish setting). Some of our friends who would normally be there ended up being too sick to come.

Grace practiced her standing trick for Polgara and wound herself up in cords in her bouncery thing. Noah was himself and all over the place. He's napping now, but it means his schedule is kaput. Oh well.

Tomorrow we're headed to the observatory and then we'll see. Maybe kidspace time, which is my fave.

thanks for asking.

How are you doing?

She's going to be creating Jamaica-specific HIV interventions for MSM, so she needs an overview of various other categories of intervention. But I have to do a lot more understanding than I'd thought to parse out what's useful for her, not least at all of the results. I haven't had my head in a stats space in forever.

How are you doing?

I'd kill for an appetite (woke up this morning retching, haven't eaten yet), but otherwise the ER visit this AM evened things out.

Two. Two. Your kids are two! How cool.
