My Lexis seems to be working, Perkins.
I don't care much for peanut butter and chocolate thing because usually the peanut butter has sugar in it (yuk!) and the chocolate is milk. My mother hates anything sweet with her PB, so we grew up on PB & butter sandwiches. I like a good peanut butter and homemade-jam these days.
I had a doctor's appt this morning and navigating the craziness of the parking lot successfully has made me feel like I've accomplished quite enough for the day.
PB&J is yummy, as is PB and chocolate.
I was just processing through a batch of securities rulings from various states to pass onto the proper departments, and it seems that Bernie Madoff is no longer licensed as a securities dealer in Washington state. Awww, poor guy! He apparently didn't answer the summons he received--guess he was otherwise occupied.
oh, my morning. Nothing like telling 2 different vendors, no, I cannot locate the invoice - yes I know they sent it to me - my desk/worklife is an organizational nightmare.
I remember in college one of the guys, who'd grown up in Sweden, was completely boggled and disgusted at the idea of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Yeah, we did not have peanut butter in the house when I was a kid because my mother could not stand the smell. It definitely fell into the "nasty things Americans like" category. Root beer (and soda in general) was also on that list.
Now that I can't have caffeine after lunch, chocolate and peanut butter is pretty much out, although it is tasty. Of course, that's because I love peanut butter, despite never having it growing up. Chocolate is only worth it to me if it's good chocolate.

Ugh. We had a few layoffs yesterday, which kind of sucked, but then we had one more today (she was out yesterday), and now I'm upset. Both of our general office staff people got laid off, and I understand why (they will hire one person who makes more sense), but I just feel terrible about the receptionist. She wasn't making any money anyway, and has two little kids, and I don't know that her husband is working. Bah.
In related news, I could use some chocolate, with or without peanut butter.
Wait, you laid off two people and will hire one to replace them? You couldn't just lay off one of the people and have the leftover one do both jobs?
No, they need someone with different skills than either of the current (I mean previous) people.
