IIRC, Evil Chicken was only in book one. There was a lot of equally crappy prose, though. Le sigh. I have high pain tolerance.

Crap I read a couple of those books as well, I don't remember anything about the chickens, but it has been awhile. Goodkind seemed to have a thing for dominatrixs? dominatri? I find I don't know the plural for dominatrix.

I've seen it written both ways. And yeah, Goodkind likes the red leather and pain thing. Lots of evil powerful women who just want to beat down the hero. And the powerful chick love interest ends up being violently raped.
I think that's when I stopped reading.
