I don't exactly know how many applications, because they have to go to the HR dept first, and I don't quite trust them to send them to me right away. I've got five from the first day and four are from academic librarians (only one local). The firm librarians probably have to re-work their resumes to parallel our ad. I've also gotten a number of questions from people who saw the post on the listserv.

Bob Bob and I are getting our kittens this morning! We are very excited. Well, he's still asleep. But he would be excited.
He'll be very excited if you wake him up by dropping the kittens on him!

I've found it amazing how much physical energy is a mental thing. Since the day I started my diet, I've been feeling peppier even before starting to lose weight. I'm practically bouncing along! I don't get out of breath as quickly as I did. And I actually feel thinner, although that's absurd objectively since I've only lost just under ten pounds.
