Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am in a supremely foul mood. And nothing on the horizon to break it.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I had my weekly weigh-in at the diet doctor tonight--I lost 7 1/2 pounds this week!!! So, in my first two weeks of dieting, I'm down 9 1/2 pounds. Goal for next week: 5 1/2 pounds, to make a nice round 15 pounds in three weeks. (Although I'll be happy if I lose three.)

Oh, and my blood pressure was down to 128/88 (last week was 140/70, but that was a bit iffy).

Our wings are not tired.

Kathy, that is fantastic. I need to be doing the same.

I've got about 300 pounds to lose, so this is just the beginning. I'm figuring that, if I'm consistent with my "just eat right, start moving, and take the weight loss as it comes" approach, I might be able to lose that in four or five years.

Yay, Kathy!

Heard the sad news about Richardson!

Sad news about Natasha Richardson.

Annd to do whiplash, I briefly talked to the other neighbor, B. Until he had to to get his 3 year old daughter out of the bath and into bed. Yay kids!

And since I started this post he called me back and I learned some interesting thing. The house was rented for 13 years to the same person prior to it going on the market. The owner did very little in upgrades during that time (but the renter was quite the pushover.) It's been vacant for the past year or so, in which a lot of work has been done, discounting the deck. (Which we both agree, has GOT to go.) He thinks the street is noisier than he'd like come summer (but compared to here? Um.)

B moved there in 2003 and has done a lot of the work himself. He also has a purple and lavender bath and had the same reaction I did to it when he first saw it. He named all the other folk on our side of the street and spoke well of them. So I should drop off some more notes

And I'm to knock on his door after inspection to meet him F2F.

Jeez, this is getting real-er.

Sounds great. Good neighbors are great. We totally lucked out in that respect.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh, I am sad that two of my favorite people are in supremely foul moods. I'd send you cookies, if they only fit through the web.
