River: You're not right, Early. You're not righteous. You've got issues. Early: No. Oh, yes, I could have that. You might have me figured out, then. Good job. I'm not 100%.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I wore green today on accident, although I did enjoy a lunch of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. I suppose it's good that I had an early meeting and I'm home already, because if some drunkass had pinched me on my commute, I would have thrown elbows.

Our wings are not tired.

Megan, one of the appetizers I made for one of my Christmas parties is actually called my "Ahwahnee special"! I will try to have the ingredients on hand this Friday, when you come over. It's so damned good. Every time I am at the Ahwanhee I order it, and I finally figured out that, um, ya know, I could easily re-create it at home.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm watching last night's Colbert, and it reminds me that I wished I had a camera with me the other day on my way to work, when I saw them taking down the AIG banner outside their offices. It must just have been because of the wind or something, but it was a great image.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

G and I did our traditional St. Patrick's Day thing - went to Madam's Organ to hear a friend play. (For those who don't know, Madam's Organ is a dive bar in Adams Morgan. Decor features taxidermied animals, musical instruments and drawings of naked women.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Looks like she's died.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am still in denial, ita.

I don't know this is so much harder to believe than Heath Ledger's death. I think it's the combination of random and unexpectedly awful.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wasn't as fascinated by her career as I was with Heath's, since she's more established and less potential, but the awful and the random are potent.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

from way back:

Apparently Savannah has the second-largest St. Patrick's Day celebration (after New York, I guess?)

I wonder how many places claim that.

Kansas City, for one.
