There are couple of pubs here that opened at 7AM for St. Patrick's Day. And they have a line waiting.
But we should do St. Pat's like the Newfs, who have a holiday.
I loved that when I was in Ireland five or so years back, the big radio stations were giving away trips to America for SP's Day. It's such an American holiday.
I really wish we had a nationally recognized silly hat day (Derby Day could just become a bigger deal) or dress fancy day or pajama day.

Poor Natasha, poor Liam, their poor sons (12 and 13). There's never a time in life when it isn't awful to lose a parent, but early adolescence is already so full of out-of-control changes and huge inarticulate emotional tidal waves--oh, those poor kids.
