And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Downside to being caught up on all my blogs - none of the entries have any comments yet! I'm used to being a week behind and getting all the good conversations along with the posts. Oh well.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Trudy, if it's the Slate article, they corrected themselves.

I continue to be confused by the uproar. All the Episcopalians I grew up with would have considered it a non-issue. (Well, almost all. There was the family that thought horoscopes were a tool of the devil, but I think they ended up in a different denomination.)

Ack! Almost forgot my hair appointment!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

They really are the bestest first couple EVAH. And FTR I totally agree with Michelle about going into politics. It makes you realize what a huge sacrifice all of this has been for her.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The new Garner-Affleck baby is named Seraphina Rose Elizabeth.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Heh.

There was a kerfuffle when he was first made Bishop and some congregations de-affiliated and joined up with foreign Anglican communities. It's deffinately been a "thing".

I think its worth noting that Robinson was asked before Rick Warren was announced as leading his invocation -- this isn't a patch job, it was the plan from the start.

Dana, I think that's a bit too much, but it looks restrained next to "Apple" and "Bronx."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

They can call her Sera for short if necessary -- Sera and Vi work pretty good, IMHO.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The new Garner-Affleck baby is named Seraphina Rose Elizabeth.

Huh. I like Violet so much more than Seraphina.

I've known a few Seraphinas but none of them were white. In my head its like a blonde-haired blue-eyed Sheniqua. (A name my blonde-haired blue-eyed sister has always wanted to use, actually.)
