Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Go sleep where you are happy.

I crash less on the couch because, in my bed, there are delineated places for each cat. Puppycat is behind the knees and Kittenish is against my chest. On the couch, they don't have quite the room to Have Their Place.

But, yes, lisah, sleep where you and Frank are comfy.

I'm going to crash out down here at least while he's sleeping peacefully. If (when, really) he gets up in the middle of the night I'll take him upstairs. thanks, guys. I'm kind of a mess right now.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Kind thoughts in your direction, lisah.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh lisah, I'm so sorry. I know what that's like.

Oy, raccoons are having a party on our roof. Seriously loud. It sounds like people running around up there. How much does a full grown raccoon weigh? Like 30 pounds?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, lisah.

Burrell, wikipedia says 8 to 20 pounds, roughly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, lisah. I hope you and Frank had a good night's sleep.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Me, too.

Mom says she didn't have a good night, but says she slept well enough -- I'm not sure what her criteria is, then. That she wakes up feeling awful? How many times she woke up? This is why my Mom is a crazy-making patient.

I'm sorry, Theo.

Frank slept pretty well. He got up a couple of times but just to resettle himself. I slept crappy because I woke up every time he moved.

he's pacing like crazy around the house now dragging his back legs. It's kind of upsetting but there's nothing I can do to get him to stop and settle down. I'm bringing him up to his vet in a little while. His vet is there doing surgery today so he'll be able to see him and then give me a report.

Aw, Poor Frank. I'm sorry Lisa.

Burrell, my two cats, both 15 lbs or less can sound like a herd of elephants if they put their mind to it.

Actually, it takes very little effort on their part.
