Matt, what did you use (software) to draw that up? I'm a frustrated sketcher and...
I won't use it so much for placement because I HAVE NO IDEA. I know what I want in what rooms/floors, but beyond that, I'm going to be doing a lot of shoving because..I HAVE NO IDEA.
aurelia's link should not be looked at if you're super-tired enough to think you might be hallucinating. Srsly.
Adobe Illustrator from Creative Suite 2.
Thanks. It might not be worth the cost to me for just this. Ah well.
I'm going to need a stepstool in the kitchen. A classy one.
Y'all? I am really self-absorbed right now and I realize it, sorry.
Dunno if Google Sketchup would work for you. Free, and in spite of 3-D emphasis apparently is used for furniture layous.

But I'm still with the people who say liquor store boxes. Plus get large boxes for light stuff from Walmart, Target, Costco, Freddie Meyers or whatever big box (heh) stores are in your area.
Sarameg, there are lots of free places online that you can layout rooms.

I just cannot wrap my head around buying boxes.
It's possible you're not wrapping your head around how many books I have.
The most important factor in book-holding boxes is that they aren't too large. Books weigh a ton, and it's easy to exceed the holding capacity of a box right quickly.
