Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Of AV Club's top ten, the only ones that'd make my list are Bon Iver and the Death Cab. I actually didn't bother to pick up TV On the Radio's new album this year. Maybe I should remedy that.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I have 13/30, but eight of them are repeated on more than one list. (I like Vampire Weekend the best, I'm not gonna lie.)

Dear Science is quite fucking good, by the by.

Oh, good. I'll be sure to pick it up. I think I have a handful of songs from Return to Cookie Mountain -- they were interesting songs, if I remember. It's been a while since I listened to them though.

I know Fleet Foxes are going to top my personal list since I've been psycho-obsessed with them for most of the year, and at least they're up there.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I like Dear Science a lot, and I'm sorry I missed them the last time they played Boston.

Mmmm, I've enjoyed a lot out of Fleet Foxes too. They came up in my NME a lot, so I checked 'em out.

The Walkmen? Huh. I saw then open for Spoon and I was underwhelmed to the point of almost falling asleep on my feet, but I guess every band is allowed to have an off night.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So, um. Does anyone else have an excuse to like Miley Cyrus? Or am I the only one?

I have nothing against her, and her songs are fun. I feel a little sorry for her, being in the Disney machine and all, but she seems to be handling it well.

TV On the Radio, huh? Hmmm.

MADE OF AWESOMENESS. Love them.

This year was a good year for me, music-wise. Lots of concerts, lots of good albums. Drive-By Truckers, Lupe Fiasco, The Hold Steady, Gym Class Heroes, Gaslight Anthem - I should check my home iTunes for a better cross-section.

I think her parents are able to help her cope better than, say, Lindsey Lohan's.

True, but her parents are also the ones that okayed the (tempest in a teapot) Vogue shoot and then got publicly hand-wringy and all "OH NOES OUR VIRGIN DAUGHTER".
