Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Charlie Watts has died.
When Mick Jagger introduced Charlie as "my drummer" Charlie said, "Fuck that! You're my singer."
Hahaha!
He knew his worth.
He knew his worth.
He also punched Mick in the face after he said it. And Mick took it. Because he was being an asshole.
The actual event was even cooler than I'm making known.
The Stones were in a hotel. Mick was frolicking with girls, and there were some reporters interviewing him there. Mick ordered a flunkie to "go get my drummer."
Ten minutes later Charlie showed up, in a Saville Row suit with tie, and punched him in the face told him Mick that he was his singer.
In case anyone isn't on my FB friends list or FB hides the post I made-- I think everyone should listen to this cover of Sad But True by Mexican Institute of Sound (feat La Perla & Gera MX). It's off the Blacklist album which is covers by 53 artists of the various songs.
This is [link] ... I don't know how to describe it's electronica sampling/remix with horns. and I may just be really tired and overly enthuastic
So... is Get Back here or in streaming?
I have feels.
I think it’s streaming on a premium channel’s streaming service, possibly HBO.
This week’s Song Exploder is Danny Elfman talking about “What’s This” from The Nightmare Before Christmas .
Have you seen/heard "Christmas Truce" by Sabaton?
Powerful stuff. I teared up.
Be sure to listen through the credits.
