Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It was real good.

Norah joining in on harmonies on Roseanne's "Seven Year Ache" (one of her prettiest melodies) was gorgeous.

Loved how Kris could just reach in his back pocket and pull out a stone classic like "Sunday Morning Coming Down."

Roseanne's vocal on "Me and Bobbie McGee" was pretty fucking hot too.

Also dug Norah's tune for Hank Williams. That really worked well.

Frank, have you seen Heartworn Highway?

It's got about the best guitar pull you're going to see with Guy Clark leading a group that includes (circa 1975) Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, John Hiatt and Steve Young.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Frank, have you seen Heartworn Highway?

I have not. Thanks for the recommendation.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Between Desolation Row coming out and the LeATHERMOUTH release show I'm going to tomorrow I'm a little bit like a kid on sugar today.

So, naturally, I got a smore brownie from the cafeteria. Gotta ride out this buzz as long as I can, Man.

Art Crawl!!!

Everytime I come in here and see Heartworn Highway I momentarily see it as "Heartworm" Highway.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I've just fallen in love with Argetinian(?) Jauna Molina. I'm putting together a playlist for a friend who's writing a story based in Terra del Fuego, and beyond my existing playlist of Gustavo Santaolalla, Federico Aubele/Gotan Project/Astor Piazzolla, I'm finding so much excellent new music, of which Juana's is my fave so far. I miss writing, if only for the excuse to find new music to mull by.

9 Funniest Classic Songs Butchered by Microsoft SongSmith:

Microsoft SongSmith allows you to sing into your computer and it will add its own music allowing you to create songs just by singing. Thanks to this, many (especially azz100c on YouTube) are taking classic songs, extracting the vocals, putting it through SongSmith, and dubbing the new song over the original music video. Here are some of the best videos we've seen that prove computers know nothing about what sounds good.

"Intergalactic" sounds like the Beastie Boys crashed a parlor room party. "I Heard It Through Grapevine" kinda works, actually. "Hotel California" isn't bad either. "Eye of the Tiger" and "Just What I Needed" are ridiculous. "White Wedding" and "Crazy Train" are just...what the hell.
