Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

  • Violent Femme's "Add It Up"

Specific must have songs? I'm not sure.

Must have bands include the aforementioned New Order and Devo, plus Gary Numan, Echo and the Bunnymen, Scary Monsters-era Bowie, early Depeche Mode, New Romantic era Duran Duran, The Human League, and early Eurythmics, and Yaz(oo). Each has many tracks to choose from.

This might help, too.

Tom's list is about my list too.

I would proabably throw in The English Beat, The Cure, and Talking Heads.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have a bunch of Rhino's New Wave comps if you want to peruse or rip.

Sounds like the wants more of the synth pop portion of New Wave so OMD and Depeche Mode and Soft Cell and Human League and Ultravox should be in there.

Soft Cell

"Sex Dwarf"!

I remember Hec had a tagline from that song ("Luring disco dollies to a life of vice") when I first started posting at b.org.

Oh yeah:

I have a bunch of Rhino's New Wave comps if you want to peruse or rip.

I loved their Post-Punk ones. I think I have some of their New Wave ones, but I'm not sure.

I have most of the first 10 ripped, so I can probably send a number of things.

And, a big yes to OMD. How could I forget them?

I was earwormed by my friend Josh's punk rock cover of "Sex Dwarf."

I loved their Post-Punk ones.

Those are some great comps. I've got all three.
