Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So I've been kind of obsessing over Fool in the Rain for the last week or so. Yes, just the one song. I do that sometimes. But I keep thinking about something Kec said once a few years back about Don Was saying something about Dave Grohl being the only other human being besides Bonzo to have perfect time. And then I found this you tube video of his drum out takes for FitR: [link] (NSFW language right at the top)

The man sounds like a precision timepiece. A drunken, swearing, precision timepiece.

Also, I'm blown away by how small his kit is.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, I'm blown away by how small his kit is.

Except for the Double Bass drums. (Which he used to line with tin foil, while other drummers were dampening them with pillows.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Celeb chef Jamie Oliver discovers Joy Division and New Order master tapes in basement

Huh.

May we hear them, please?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I listened to a song by Skrillex.

So...that's dubstep, huh?

I will stick with Prodigy.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have no idea what "dubstep" is, but I imagine it to be dubiously consenting Lord of the Dance.

ETA: Isn't Skrillex the evil thing in The dark Crystal?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I listened to a song by Skrillex.

Is it that "Call 911 now" song?

I will stick with Prodigy.

Fogey. Be sure to lay in ample quantities of the uniform - driving hat, shorts pulled up to your chest, white socks up to your knees and brown sandals. Then practise driving 5 under the speed limit in the overtaking lane with the headlights on in broad daylight. Psychosomatic addict insane indeed.

It was "Scary Monsters and Drink Some Sprite" or whatever.

I will stick with Prodigy.

Fogey.

Hey! They are totally still around!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I think the only dubstep thing I have listened to the very end of is that dubstep Beetlejuice thing, and that was only out of morbid curiosity. I am perfectly fine with being a cranky old lady about not understanding dubstep. These kids today with their WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB remix things. I just need a skull-topped walking stick to wave at them.
