Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Souls last night, Souls tonight. World/Inferno Friendship Society opened last night. The venue is the First Unitarian Church basement in Philadelphia. Looks like a rec room circa 1979 and holds a couple of hundred people. Hot and sweaty as sin down there. Not sure how Jack Terricloth survives in full suit, makeup intact but he do. I'm a little in love with him.

So fucking tired. Wasn't in bed until 4.

If a certain tineh father-of-twins/second-guitarist of another beloved band/inveterate Bouncing Souls fan shows up at this venue he'll have a fucking blast. He'd have lost his shit last night (the band sure did) when Lamar Vanoy was crowd surfing to Lamar Vanoy. His tour schedule and certain openers make that seem possible. He'd likely go completely un-noted and might even get to slip his leash and go for a dive himself. I'll be sweating and screaming with my left hand firmly over my right bicep if he does.

3 MOAR NITES TOO GOOOOOOO

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I saw Tune-Yards last night, in a free concert by the river. This is the third time I've seen them in the last year, and each time it's been with a bigger and more enthusiastic crowd.

The opening act was Austra, who reminded me a lot of Siouxie, except that she was dressed as a hippie last night.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Was Tune-Yards still the four piece lineup with Merrill, the bass guy and the two sax players?

Yes, that's her standard touring band now.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hayden! I'm so sorry to hear your news. Ease-ma, heal-ma. Be well, my friend.

And I had such hopes for your career as a placekicker.

Thanks! Fortunately, I can still be an Olympic-sized ass.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Aw, Hayden. So sorry! That is some seriously bad shit. Glad they caught it, but very sorry you had to go through it.
