"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh yeah, thinking of the video then "Dominion" by Sisters of Mercy.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh, there's a specifically anti-Bush one, but nevermind. I just looked it up and he's American.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If you mean Neil Young, he's from Canada originally.

ETA, so technically North American.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Todd Snider, also American, has one called somehing like "Your Flag Sticker Won't Get You Into Heaven."

There must be some good French ones out there. Where's Megan?

I feel like most political protest songs from France are class-based rather than anti-American per se.

The only thing I can think of offhand is MC Solaar's "Nouveau western" (which also happens to sample Serge Gainsbourg's "Bonnie and Clyde").

Hey, I know that one. And I figured MC Solaar would have something, I just couldn't think of it. That's a good song. I wonder where my MC Solaar CD is...

In other news, Christina Aguilera's Bionic is pretty awesome, for those who like that kind of thing. The last several songs are fantastic for singing in the car at top volume. Peaches is even featured on "My Girls."

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

How did I not know that Slayer & Rob Zombie were touring together? I just checked with my metal show peeps to find out if they're going.
