Wondermints covered "Arnold Layne." I might have that.
Could you check to see if you have it, please? "Arnold Layne" is one of my younger brother's favorite songs....

Phew, took fifteen minutes of looking but I found it. Japanese import!
Gimme a couple minutes to get it on my computer and then I'll load it to Buffistarawk.
Okay, it's sent.
I hadn't listened to it in a while, but it's good, power pop-ish version.
I also included the Wondermints awesome cover of Abba's "Knowing Me Knowing You."
Oooh, and now I'm listening to their cover of "Oooh, Child" and it's got all these Beach Boy style backing vocals.
Note: 1) This is a special Japanese import album they did of all covers; 2) They're the backing band for Brian Wilson when he plays live nowadays because they're all multi-instrumentalists and totally dig Brian's sound. They were the band that played the live version of
Smile.
From Beep Me:
I have been asked to perform a song with The Cheap Suit Serenaders at their once-yearly gig. [link] This is HUGE for me and I am happy as a little girl.
Whoa, massively cool news, Spidra!
That is super cool news!
I should note, that a couple of the Cheap Suit Serenaders play on Spidra's album as well. So she is well known to them.
The worst album covers of 2010. (Warning: worse than you think. Imagine if ita posted this)
Oh, creepy creepy Danny Gokey! And what is with the weird Jack Sparrow beards on women?
I don't get the Ringo Starr cover as an inclusion, unless it's just being snarky.
I feel like once Asseteria committed to an album named Live From Uranus that cover is the only artistically legitimate direction they could go in, really.
