Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Because books.

Speaking of holiday music, Target has a free 14-song sampler available to download right now. The Little Jackie track is cute.

Because books.

Amazon has a free holiday song to download every day through Christmas, too. A lot of them last year were great.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, there's an Indigo Girls track. Thanks, Amy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, tonight's show didn't suck either!

They're still pretty giddy. Smonster, you're right they've found the joy again. Frank is the worlds most beautiful muppet (oh, and I could see the baby pics on his amp tonight - d'awwwwwwwww), Gerard is extra onanistic, Toro is bounding around hugging everyone and grabbing them by the neck and fist-pumping when he nails his vocals on Sing and Kids. Redic. Twice now Mikeyway has closed out the show with an extended supermodel bass solo. And the new songs are amaaaaazing live. Amazing. It's all so beautiful.

Amusingness: After the show we were hanging out around back. I went to get some juice and when I returned, my gang had left the big group and were on the corner. Weird. I go over to give them their juice and start nattering and I turn my head to my left and... uh... "Jesus! James! Hi!"

So, yeah, they were chatting with Deweese who then laughed his ass off at me. And then I gave him shit for changing the end of Venom. "Oh, that wasn't a change, I just skipped the vocal" "Well PUT IT BACK" "Ray skipped it too!" "I know! You tell Toro to put it back too! That's my favorite part of my second favorite song!"

It was all fairly hilarious. And I'm blushing still.

And... as if a few people don't hate me enough right now... Remember that episode of Friends where Monica and Ross go to an early taping for New Year's Rockin' Eve? Well... on Monday I'm going to dress all fancy and see the boys perform for the fourth time in seven days.

Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful.

(P.S. - Pedicone is a BEAST.)

Oh, and Steve Righ? showed up and opened the show as Dr. Deathdefying.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Trudy, I don't hate you. Really, I don't. Envious, yes, but mostly GLEEHANDS for you. And living vicariously through you.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Damn, NYC gets all the love. I just want one show in NC or NOLA, is that so much to ask?

Rock it out, Trudes. Rock for all of us who have to settle for cranking it in the car and risking speeding tickets.

On Friday "Prison" got a little... frisky.

In this video you get a pretty good view. [link] At 2:17 you can see the top of my turquoise blue head at the bottom of the frame -- I was pretty close to the frerardagans.

And it doesn't read so well from this angle but there was quite a bit hip action on both their parts. Dirty little tramps.

After that I was moved to go watch the infamous Reading performance of Venom. Damn, boys.
