Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So here's today's dilemma: do I pre-order the new MCR album from iTunes? Because you know I'll also want a physical copy. But pre-ordering it gives me the legal copy of the song that was leaked yesterday. Decisions, decisions ...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Jilli, does iTunes let you buy just that one song?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You can pre-order the CD on Amazon, and then feel a little less guilty about downloading.

It does!

Oooh, good point.

Argh, but it looks like there's a bonus non-album track that is only available on iTunes. ("We Don't Need Another Song About California" - hee!)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jilli, do what I did for Lucero's 1372 Overton Park - I bought the iTunes album, and then haunted the used CD stores until I got my hands on a physical copy.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

eMusic just announced yet another new pricing scheme that reduces the value of one's membership in exchange for a deal with a large distributor - Universal, in this case - which will give me access to a bunch of albums I already have. Starts next month, so be forewarned.

There is that.

There's also a good chance that if I make pathetic squeaky noises, my parents will gleefully return to the holiday tradition of giving me music performed by pretty boys with loud guitars for Christmas. (Too Fast For Love by Motley Crue was a Christmas present one year. With, IIRC, a tag that said "Santa and The Elves aren't sure about this ..." )

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

If its anything like Black Parade imma end up buying it four times anyway so I'm pretty content to engage in a certain amount of cheerful theft.

OK, so funneeeee, one of my line buddies HATES the new songs. HAAAAAATES them. And, as she is all of 17, she is using nasty phrases like "sell out" and "Justin Bieber" and "EBAY ALL MY STUFF@!!!!!" and its a little hysterical.

As another friend put it, "I'm not crazy about the new one, but I'm not ready to take a scissors to my MIKEYFUCKINWAY shirt just yet."

As I cannot currently download things I only heard it twice myself before Warner got up YouTube's butt and pulled it. My main impression was that Gee is getting virtually Stumpesque in some of his enunciations.

Well Warner put up a preview of the video and TAKED IT AWAY.

Amazing how quickly things like that can be ah-hehmed and distributed liberally via profile addys which are good.
