No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Thanks Tommy, in the flurry of knitting last night I haven't been able to really look at the lists. I will do so today.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh, HELL yeah! I had no idea!

Just released today. Could've knocked me over with a feather when I checked new releases on iTunes this morning.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Glamcookie, my friend has that Nick Cave and Shane Macgowan version of "What a Wonderful World", but something went wrong when she tried to upload it to one of those web-ftp-ish sites. I'm waiting to see if she can try again....

So the Long Tail really isn't long? Long Tail theory contradicted as study reveals 10m digital music tracks unsold

The internet was supposed to bring vast choice for customers, access to obscure and forgotten products - and a fortune for sellers who focused on niche markets.

But a study of digital music sales has posed the first big challenge to this “long tail” theory: more than 10 million of the 13 million tracks available on the internet failed to find a single buyer last year.

There's always Annette Funicello's "Pineapple Princess."

The bit I listened to at iTunes makes me think this is made of awesome.

tommyrot, if you're willing and able, besides "King Tut", I'd most like "Queen Jane Aprroximately", "Queen of the Savages", "Princess of the Universe", "King of Spain", "Prince of the Punks", and "Ghosts of Princes in Towers".

Thanks everyone!

So if I wanted to score a ticket or two to a sold out show at The Metro in Chicago, what should I do? I mean, besides showing up the night of the show with a wad of cash....

Is there a place where people advertise stuff like this? The Reader? Craigslist?

The show is Animal Collective on Jan 22.

Oh, I still need buffistarawk info to send my files to....

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Craigslist is often good for tickets. Especially as the date gets very close.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

aww. I miss The Metro. I saw my first punk show (the Circle Jerks) there.

Sorry, I forgot! I'll send it to you, but there's no email address in your profile.

That's weird. It seems to go away when I edit other profile stuff.

Anyway, it's there now.
