Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Soul cover of Wilco's "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart"

Loving this catchy, brass-filled re-imagining of the haunting Wilco classic by Chicago's JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound. Perfect thing for a Friday afternoon!

Cool version. I've never heard of this band, even though I lived in Uptown for 8 years.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thanks, tommy!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks for that, Tommy!

ION, I am really enjoying the new New Pornographers album Together, which I picked up from eMusic.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I've been digging that, too. The new Hold Steady is pretty solid, also, and the new Fall album continues their recent excellence.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I got to see The Hold Steady perform last year, their live show is a real treat.

So, best T.Rex album: Electric Warrior?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I prefer The Slider: "Buick Mackane," "Baby Strange," "Telegram Sam"...

Though there are oddball gems to found throughout his catalog.

Yeah, those are all great. I guess I'd rank The Slider as almost as good as Electric Warrior.

Lately I've really gotten into "Rip Off" from Electric Warrior. I think that would be a fun song to learn to play....
