Have you listened to some Kate Bush today?
Funny, I was just earworming myself with some of her stuff in my head. Oh, and plate o' shrimp.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Damn. The last Kate Bush album I acquired was The Sensual World, which came out in '89. Then I just stopped paying attention. She's only had two studio albums since?
I have The Kick Inside and Lionheart on LP and cassette, which means I haven't listened to them in decades. OTOH, Hounds of Love and The Dreaming are two of my favorite albums, and I still listen to them regularly.
Maybe you should.
Maybe I will. Maybe I'll download The Kick Inside and Lionheart from iTunes or eMusic and listen to them next.

One of them was a disc set, but yeah. She's very slow (one of the many traits she shares with Peter Gabriel). Too slow, I think, although I think she was also raising a family during that period.
Yeah, she was raising her son.
Her two disc set was interesting. There was a song about Pi. In fact, the lyrics were just the number of Pi as I recall.

I've only given it a cursory spin or two, and I really need to get back to it, because I remember enjoying it quite a bit.
NPR story on the Alex Chilton Memorial show with clips from the concert.

There were more lyrics than that, but she does sing Pi to the 100th decimal point.

It is quite good, and Rolf Harris of all people appears on it.
Oh, The Kick Inside was much better than I remembered it. Thanks, Hec!
Am now listening to Lionheart, which so far is not moving me as much as The Kick Inside....

I think it's by far the weakest. Hammer Horror is about the only song I really like on it (and the only one I can remember right now).
Never For Ever is really good though. You could hear her start to take more control of her sound.
