Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Yes, Milo is apparently a biochemist: [link]

I find it fascinating, having lived through two PhDs (one successful, mr. flea's, one not, mine) that anyone could combine such a thing with a rock band career. I mean, talk about varying talents!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I mean, talk about varying talents!

I know!

Graeme Downes of the New Zealand band The Verlaines has a PhD in Musicology, which is a little bit more understandable.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Karl Precoda [link] as well.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There aren't a lot of doctor rockers. Whereas there used to be a long tradition of doctor/poets.

I saw the Dream Syndicate open for U2. Precoda made a mighty noise. He would've made the Jesus and Mary Chain proud. Just walls of sonic fuzz.

I did not know Keats was a doctor! Too bad he lived in the era before the understanding of bateriology - he could have saved himself!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

On a lighter note, this is my favorite new xmas song of the year. A duet between Meatwad & Nico Case: [link]

Oh dear. Nico Case is ruined for me! I'll have to listen to some of her songs that aren't about boogers to correct that....

He was an apprentice surgeon, but I don't think he ever practiced.
