Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I will share what I just purchased from iTunes, in order for people to point and laugh:

Poker Face (shut up, I like it)
Viva la Vida (just the song)
You Belong With Me, by Taylor Swift (SHUT UP, I like it)
Sweet Transvestite
I Can Make You A Man

(I felt I needed some RHPS on my iPod; currently I still only have the soundtrack on cassette. [Shut up.])

Because books.

You Belong With Me, by Taylor Swift (SHUT UP, I like it)

I was JUST whistling this song as I made tea! She's so cute, and every song is just so frigging sweet, I can't help myself. Plus, Sara calls her Taylor Swiss, which amuses me.

Sweet Transvestite
I Can Make You A Man

I love both. "Sweet Transvestite" is probably my favorite song off the soundtrack, although I do love "I'm Going Home," too.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I also like both those songs, Steph. And I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift.

The Coldplay, on the other hand....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Does everybody remember the first time they saw "Sweet Transvestite"?

Now that was an entrance.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, and I'll confess to having "Viva La Vida" on the iPod. It's a good singalong song for Emmett and I when we're off to baseball tournaments.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Or if you're cheap and don't like me, you can subscribe to the TMBG podcast on iTunes: they're going to release a song a week.

The Bouncing Souls have been releasing a song a month for their 20th Anniversary. It's awesome. It's like twelve tiny Christmases.

Junior year for me, I think. The Cocoanut Grove playhouse, with my friends Alex and Watch. It was the one year anniversary of it playing there.

I had some general idea, of course, of what the movie was about, but was unprepared for the Elvis-like levels of charisma Tim Curry had.

I totally didn't get that. I was, I believe I've mentioned, really repressed as a young'un. My reaction was basically, "Dude in women's underwear, having sex with everyone. Uh...ooooookay. Whatever."

I can't even remember the last time I saw RHPS. I suppose I should see it again. (I'd go to the theatre that shows it, but I *loathe* audience participation. LOATHE.)
