Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I think I need to spend a weekend afternoon just fixing my iTunes data.

Dude, I'd need way more than an afternoon.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We say fretless to mean even things like trombone. But that's just shorthand, not anything proper.

These would be my Tom Waits essentials:

Small Change
Closing Time
Swordfishtrombones
Franks Wild Years

I am going to have to get Bone Machine, aren't I?

My long lost HS friend was telling me that she had tickets to see Tom Waits in 1999. She was pregnant at the time, and her son came early, two days before the concert, so she had to give her tickets up.

Awwww. I have a bootleg from his 1999 concert at the Paramount Theater in Oakland if your friend would like it. Fantastic show.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey, I just leaned of an even better deal with the link I gave you above. Instead of AFF01, use coupon code 15%COUPON at checkout for a 15% discount on your InstrumentPro order over $99!

Hey Jon - I tried using this, but the site says this coupon code isn't valid. Maybe it's already expired?

I think she's made peace with it by now...

The other thing we talked about is that she had heard a rumor that Waits had land in Cape Breton (a lot of NY artist types do). But I had never heard that rumor. I know he was in a movie Robert Frank directed that was partially shot in Cape Breton. [link]

Ohhh. I'd like it.

Candy Mountain - I've seen that movie. It's OOP now and expensive to get.

Ohhh. I'd like it.

It'd probably be easier to post it to Buffistarawk than mail it to Israel. I also have a high quality boot of Tom doing a live, in-studio concert at a radio station from 1975 too for fans of his earlier stuff.
