Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
I get as far as "Buffista M----" and then my brain times out.
Imagine the cross-posts!
Thanks Sue, I got it. Appreciated!
I asked this elsewhere, but thought I would ask it here too:
What's better: Total Eclipse of the Heart or Paradise by the Dashboard Light?
Paradise by the Dashboard Light!
What's better: Total Eclipse of the Heart or Paradise by the Dashboard Light?
Depends.
Reliving my college days? Paradise by the Dashboard Light.
Singing on American Idol? Total Eclipse of the Heart.
It's always, always "Paradise".
I too vote for Paradise. Better narrative, plus you get the cool video which was shown before The Rocky Horror Picture Show (as well as Tim Curry's video for "I Do the Rock").
Rock and Roll Trivia Tidbit: Karla DeVito, who is shown singing the song in the video (and is, indeed, a fine singer who toured with Mr. Loaf and later did Andrew Sister style harmonies with Jessica Harper (the actress that both Frankenbuddha and I have the fondness for) behind Dan Hicks) is not the actual singer on the album track.
The singer on the album is Ellen Foley, aka the actress who preceded Markie Post on Night Court.
Ellen also briefly dated Mick Jones of the Clash.
Definitely Paradise.
It's always, always "Paradise".
When the criterion is "mocking the video", I humbly submit that you are in error.
