Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Cat Power.

Where to start?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You Are Free is amazing. What Would the Community Think is very good as well. I first got into Cat Power via The Covers Record, which is what its title says. Good (and unconventional) covers - standouts for me include "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and the Velvet Underground song "I Found a Reason."

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Where to start?

Frankly, her sound has changed so much over the years that it's difficult to say. What Would the Community Think sounds like a completely different artist from The Greatest. I prefer the former, but the latter sold a lot more records. I'd start with those two and go outward from there, depending on which of those you like more.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I only have Moon Pix, You Are Free, and The Greatest, and they all have their strengths.

Thanks. I think I'll start with Moon Pix.

That one may be my favorite of the three. She's backed by 2/3 of The Dirty Three, who propel her songs along nicely.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm currently bopping my head to the Monkees' "Going Down."

Just an FYI.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ooh, great song. Mickey Dolenz is fabulous.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That song's a particular favorite of mine, too.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

We have an alarm condition on the 21st floor!

(I'm on 28)

They've evacuated 21 and the two floors below. I wonder why not above. Huh.

It's funny how everyone is just working away while a section of our office building is, you know, on fire...
