Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

What does dye release mean? I followed the instructions on the container.

Dye release = letting the henna and liquid mix sit until you get a good stain from the paste. How long depends on the henna, usually. The Jamila I get from the Indian grocery takes about 12 hours. I usually prep mine, freeze it, and then thaw it in warm water before I use it (double bagged). I seem to get better stain that way.

I leave the henna on my head for 2-3 hours. It takes a day or so for the color to fully develop. When I started doing henna again, it took about 3 applications before I got good color depth (but I was blending bleached hair with natural). You won't see a lot of difference on dark hair unless you are in full sun, but your greys should cover after a couple applications.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, GAH, Kristin. Vent all you need, or take hugs, in whatever combination works for you.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So sorry, Kristin.

Thanks, Plei. I think I'm going to give up on hair color for a little while. Way too much effort for not much result.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Good God, Kristin. I have no words. You poor woman.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

(((((Kristin))))) I'm so sorry. I'm glad he is at least ok, but I definitely understand why you're upset.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

{{Kristin}} Parents can be sooo stoopit sometimes. They do it out of love, but it doesn't make it any less cluestick worthy.
