Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

seasonal-only pumpkin spice pancakes.

I remember having those when I came out there for that Halloween O' Debauchery. Those were excellent.

(Everything sounds yummy right now, since lunch is STILL NOT HERE. I just want my soup in a bread bowl, damn it.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec! Now I'm starving!

Come visit! We'll take you there.

See?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Today is the last day of TCG's very long weekend. We have been busy running around all weekend, and I am hurty and tired. I really want to veg today, but he's running around cleaning so now I feel guilty.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have the same problem with canned cranberry sauce as I have with Jello. Food should not move.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I usually do my cranberries with port, a healthy amount of nutmeg, and a dash of vanilla. I believe I still have a jar from last year (when I got smart, and actually canned the stuff instead of having to rush to make it before the big day).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I love reading about people's different takes on holiday foods. I was raised in a cranberries-inna-can family, but I've since branched out, at least as far as eating goes. Haven't tried making the less gelatinous versions. I'll be going to a pre-Thanksgiving potluck that would be a great place to try it, but I've already signed up for dessert. (My granny smith brown sugar apple pie's pretty fool-proof.)

Always Anti-fascist!

It's a long story, but I just found out my schedule will be opening up a lot at the end of this month. More time to think...just what I wanted. Like a thing that's not. Sigh.

“Not dead yet!”

I usually do my cranberries with port, a healthy amount of nutmeg, and a dash of vanilla.

Any allspice or mace, Plei? I like the warm sound of yours-- not that I have anything against orange, it just doesn't always agree with me.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So, what's the story, Bunk? This is the place for those kind of stories.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

DH just sent out an email suggesting lingonberry sauce instead of cranberry sauce. Heretic
