Also came online to share an instance of gallant gallows humor. Our local Senior center is very musical, lots of amateur and ex-professional musicians on both staff and among clients. So that movie about the senior rock n' roll choir inspired a decision to do something similar here. One of the attendees has Parkinsons and early stage Alzheimers. He immediately volunteered to join, saying "I'm perfectly qualified for the Keith Richards role".
So, they let me go get some food. I feel like needing/wanting food or breaks, plus my diminished performance is going to make them not ask me back. Like I just don't have what it takes to play at this level.

Yeah, well, sure you don't work like the zombie firm they wanted initially, but with you the actors don't have to wear helmets...I'm sure it's a wash. Not that I know anything about feeling guilty about physical needs, but my witty and clever friend does.

And other people are working longer nous than I am (though all departments but sound are getting meal breaks).
And normally, working here doesn't suck this bad. Or maybe it does when you're running crew, and I just don't have what it takes.
