Shit's all sorts of different now.

BT!!! I had a dream the other night that I was at a zoo and the emporer penguins got out and one came up behind me and rested his head on my shoulder.

Which would make him over 5 feet tall.

I patted his head which was very soft and downy.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

{{{Beverly}}} I hope your mother can see her 99th birthday in some level of comfort and clarity. The hospice people were wonderful to my mom at the end—it's a lovely organization for a difficult time.

{{{Bev}}} Peace to you, love. I hope your mom gets to see #99. However, IMNSVHO, her greatest accomplishment was the wonder that is you.

aaaaaagh.

I used to have an awesome UPS driver.

Working from home, I get a lot of packages. And she was (a) useful--my directory is busted, and she can't call up, but she never gave me trouble about having to call her base and have THEM call me and tell me she was outside. And (b) she was hot and dykealicious.

But after having her deliver packages to me since I started this job, she apparently took another job or something, because her last day was the other week. SAD!

And now I have a new guy. Who is not hot. And NOT USEFUL.

I was waiting around ALL DAY for a package I needed. I'm gone tomorrow, and needed the stuff in the package to do things for tomorrow's trip.

I go downstairs at 4:45pm...and there's a slip. He didn't call up. GRRR.

Worse yet, when I go online to see WHEN? It's listed as delivered! So I call up UPS...and they're like "Oh, weird. We'll figure it out and call you back in half an hour"

An HOUR later...I call UPS again. "We have no record of your earlier call. We'll call you in an hour. It may have been stolen. Or maybe it's still on the truck. He can't deliver it again, but maybe you could go pick it up at your UPS facility?". WTF!?!?! I get REAL pissy at them. If I wanted to GO GET IT, I wouldn't have had it DELIVERED. Well. THey're so sorry I called earlier and had to wait and now have to wait again. Calls are monitored for quality assurance, you know--someone will get theirs, if they promised me and didn't come through, they say! I'm like "Yeah, right".

They call me back in about 15 minutes, this time. And discover that the package is still on his truck, and he'll come deliver it to me in an hour. He had a "new helper" on his truck who put the wrong thing in.

Hrmph.

I do not have a good feeling about this new UPS guy, still.

Mostly, I'm just pissed off that it's going to be after 7pm before I have a chance to leave the fucking house, because of this.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I am an idiot. I just scheduled the 8.5 hour of massage for next Monday. Seriously contemplating asking someone(s) to move to Tuesday, which has at the moment 1.5 (but probably 3.5).

AND my last client of the day next Monday is a new person I had tonight and she seems to be a little bit of a PITA. Why do I hate myself?

Ugh. Time to go home and eat dinner. Seems fitting to eat at 10 pm when I had lunch at 4 pm. Today kind of sucked too.

So very much this.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And too that end, Steph. Drop me a line and I'll e-you a fairly simple worksheet on developing a personal mission statement.

bonny, thanks! I'll e-mail you shortly. (My reply was late b/c Monday nights are the nights I have writing class after work.)

t edit Actually, I clicked on your profile, and instead of an e-mail address, there was just your name, as a hyperlink that, when I clicked on it, opened my mail program, but didn't put an e-mail address in the "to" field. That's...weird. I checked in the BBaBB thread, and it's happened to Nilly's profile also.

Anyway, MY e-mail is (as of right now) visible in my profile, so if you have the time, I would love it if you could e-mail me the worksheet. Thanks!
