I'm pretty good. Staying inside to keep away from the crowds, mostly. (I'm a few blocks from where all the inauguration stuff is happening, so the neighborhood is filled with both tourists and security people. A few blocks away this afternoon, a car hit a tree, and people heard a crash and saw smoke and started shouting "Get down!" and finding things to hide behind.) The big opening ceremony/concert is tomorrow, and I've been considering going to that, but it's cold and it'll be crowded. I think I'll check the webcam a bit before heading over to see if it's worth it to try to see anything.
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
the neighborhood is filled with both tourists and security people.
That's pretty much the description of where I live, only goes for the city, not so much my neighborhood.
And I say go out. Worst case, come back in if you won't like it.
I'm psyched about my mom's news. If that will happen, 50% of my nuclear family would be in the front, doing what I see as mostly good. Which will mean I'll have to take care of my dad and the house more than usual, but I think I can live with that.
Huh. People are getting louder. Maybe this is something other than a party? I can't see anything from my window.
My upstairs neighbor is hammering something. You have got to be kidding me. It's 2:30 in the morning. The outside people seem to have quieted down, though.
I'd say it's time to show out your sniper's qualifications, but given the current security in your neighborhood, I wouldn't like you to get arrested.
Generally, when it gets loud outside like this, I can't actually see the people. My window faces an alley, and sounds from the street echo through it.
Too bad, Hil.
Also? Good opportunity to start developing something against it. Hell, are you or aren't you a mathematician?
In the meantime: more rocket shootings.
Yep. Those were very successful 5 hours of truce, ain't you reckon?
OK, it's quieted down enough that I'm going to try to get some sleep.
Night, Hil.
