Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I dunno, Frank -- that looks more like a devilbunny project to me, wouldn't you say?

That's a good point. And he's got a few test subjects right in the house with him. Plus the picture is kind of adorable, so you know who that points towards.

I can neither confirm or deny this speculation.

Kristen, I'm so sorry. If you want to talk this weekend, give me a call.

Teppy, any chance you've had any contaminated peanut butter: [link]
Is that what's holding up my Girl Scout Cookie order? Boss man says orders with Penut Butter cookies (like half my order) are being held up, but didn't say why. I didn't bring any snacks with me today, since he said cookies would be distributed today. Looooong day of work. Want Cookies! :: sings C is for Cookie, it's good enough for me :: t /whine

We have kind of made it through the heavens, earth, land, sea, and trees with fruit and seeds in the fruit. Mostly. Still chapter 1. I guess we are not gods after all. It's going slow. But then again. If the earth was spinning reeeaaaaallllly slow, it could have been MONTHS, or YEARS for that "first day" and we'd never know. Time is so relative, no?

The Artistic Director was elated to find out next week has National Pie Day in it. I objected, saying that is March 14th at 1:59. A couple other geeks supported my endeavor. But the Costume Shop says there is an actual "National Pie Day" that celebrates Crisco's birthday or some such. The Artistic Director looks at me and says "I never knew you had inclinations towards physics". I responded "I do Sound for a living", which gave the room a chuckle.

This is what we do while waiting for the Lighting Designer to write light cues.

In case you are wondering, we seem to be caught between day 4 and day 5, still in chapter 1.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I love omnis' commentary to the world's creation.

Let me know when you'll get to the dinosaurs.

The Big Dude in the Sky does not mention dino's. Just crawling things, fowl, and wild beast, and tree's, and fruit with seed. Cows seem to get mentioned a few times. Not sure if that is just the English translation or not. The dino omission might be due to the fact the fossils were not discovered yet, or not known what was found.

Pro Women Soccer returns to the USA! [link]

In the two hours since the last update, we have made no progress. This is not uncommon for tech. But makes it no less frustrating. I will say, it is rather interesting that in the creation of the world section, each day has a different actor playing "God" portraying what was created. And since it's a very rainbow cast of both genders, it's really cool. Which fits into the definition of God being "All characteristics and traits".

Since this is where chat about girly stuff like cosmetics usually ends up, is everyone familiar with the cosmetics giveaway on Tuesday? This is the first I've heard of it.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so sorry, Kristin. What a horrible tragedy for all.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Thank you, everyone. I am going to a student-led candlelight vigil on the beach tonight. I was away on a site visit today and so wasn't with everyone when they got the terrible news, so I've heard it all via email--not the best way, really. Anyway. It's terribly sad and terribly difficult, and I'm going to do my best to be an anchor of support for my girls. Right now, though, I'm home from my site visit and am going to take a nap. Sometimes you just need a nap.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Rest up, Kristin. May you have all the strength you need to be for your girls. So much peace and strength~ma to that family, and the whole school.
