Aw. Would it help if I used Caspie?
'Touched'
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Would it help if I used Caspie?
And ruin the "DUDE, what is flea doing to her daughter????" moment? It would have helped disambiguate, but it totally would have spoiled my light bulb moment. So, yes, but no.
Raise your hand if you think we need pictures of the knocked up lady.
You have one! I was knocked up then, so it counts.
Sparky, how is pregnancy treating you so far?
So far, so good. ::ignores all repressed memories of 1st trimester puking at work, on planes, etc:: These days stress doesn't come from the pregnancy itself, but from the juggle to visit daycare operations, fill out application forms, and cramping from our permanently crossed fingers that one of these places will have a spot for Babyfras when we need it. We did find a lovely pre-school run by the local Audubon Society located on one of their land preserves that Jeff and I would happily quit work and attend ourselves if we were 3 years old.
I've been reading of the jetliner that landed in the Hudson yesterday. Talk about your TV Movie script.
As the plane began sinking, Sullenberger walked the aisle twice to make sure no one was left behind, Bloomberg said.
"After the crash, he was sitting there in the ferry terminal, wearing his hat, sipping his coffee and acting like nothing happened," one police source told the New York Daily News.
"He looked absolutely immaculate," a rescuer told the newspaper. "He looked like David Niven in an airplane uniform," the rescuer said, referring to the debonair British actor. "He looked unruffled."
"He's very controlled, very professional," his wife, Lorrie Sullenberger, told reporters on Friday. "He's a pilot's pilot. He loves the art of the airplane."
Is it wrong to hope that this accident stays just as it appears? No later revelations of wrongdoing on anyone's part, etc? Classy hero types are in short supply.
{{{Kristin}}} I am so so sorry. Peace to her family, you, and your entire school.
whatever happens, he flew right.
{{Kristin}} I have no words
If Keith Olbermann couldn't find high dudgeon last night, I think we're cool, Daniel. He does love his outrage so.
Is it wrong to hope that this accident stays just as it appears? No later revelations of wrongdoing on anyone's part, etc? Classy hero types are in short supply.
As the saying goes, if that's wrong I don't want to be right.
All my sympathies to Kristen, her students, and especially the girl's family. So sad.
Kristen, I'm so sorry. That's so very sad.
I've been thin on the ground here of late. Teppy, all my tummy-ma is yours until your insides settle and behave themselves.
I'm with Daniel in wanting this hero to stay untarnished. There do have to be people like this in the world, who go about their business, live their lives in earnest belief in their own ability to add to the good side of the balance. If he clips his toenails in bed, I don't want to hear about it, thanks. I'll take David Niven in an airline captain's uniform as balance against every evil thing that's happened recently.
