We had a two-hour delay today (for cold, as it dropped forty degrees yesterday), which made me reeeeaaaally happy. Yay sleep! Also, I got a manicure, so yay nails! Shiny and silver!
But I've already had four students tell me they lost/forgot/left at home/never got the notes they need for this test. Which they had two separate opportunities to request last week. Dude, what IS that? I think next grading period I'm going to say, as engineers/architects you will absolutely be expected to keep track of your papers, so from now on you keep 'em or you do without.
That's my happy sunshine first-world problems post. I'm wishing the best for everybody.
The first question I ask about the DH's review car each week is "Does it have heated seats?" It is my gold standard for cars. The heck with engine size and handling and all that folderol--it's all about the ass-warming.
I should get dressed and go into the office and get some work done. But it's 15 degrees, with a windchill of 1 degree, and I really don't want to leave my blankets.
Teppy, I hope you're feeling better soon. Poor you and your tummy.
I'm getting my wisdom teeth out next week. Does anyone with experience with this have a suggestion about what I should/shouldn't have in the house to eat after.
I'm packing this morning for the beach! It will be only slightly less colder but the change of scenery and a long weekend for TCG will do us good.

I think I lived on chocolate varieties of Slim Fast shakes for a couple days. As I have often said that if chocolate were remotely nutritious I wouldn't bother eating anything else, it was a bit of a fantasy come true for me.
I lived on milkshakes of various flavors for a couple days, by which point I was thoroughly sick of milkshakes.
No seeds, popcorn, anything small that can get stuck in the sockets, sj. Otherwise, it's kind of up to you. I don't recommend anything that can jab, either. Like toast or really crunchy things.
I was going to pick up some boost and Mom has promised to either get me or make me milk shakes.

The Odwalla or Naked protein smoothies are good, too. Mashed potatoes, oatmeal, miso soup, etc.
Mac and cheese is good.
And I heartily endorse the milkshake regimen.
