Happy New Year, Bitches! I had a magnificent evening. My dad and brother came over. I made teryaki-glazed salmon, acorn squash roasted in a balsamic-honey vinaigrette, steamed broccoli and topped it off with (frozen, the rest was enough prep for me) cherry pie for desert. We toasted the New Year with Kir Royales (champagne and creme de Cassis), while watching classsic Doctor Who. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I'm hoping it's a predicter of things to come in the new year.

I saw my PCP yesterday, and he declared me "happy and healthy." He then clarified that he didn't mean that I was the happiest and healthiest he's ever seen me, but that I am, in fact, happy and healthy.
This makes me irrationally pleased. I don't think anyone's ever called me healthy before! Knock wood that it holds on!
