[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Morphine is awesome. Dilaudid was decent, but not as good as morphine.

The speed with which I build a tolerance to oral painkillers (percocet, mostly) is disconcerting. Total junkie physiology.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Calli, I have friends who use a rolling litter box (I assume the same one) and they love it.

Your cat's level of finicky (combined with your own) will dictate how often you need to scoop. KBD's cat is riDONKulously tolerant of a dirty litter box. Bella would pee on everything I own if I tried to let it go that long.

Our wings are not tired.

My cat has to be desperate to use the litter box; she much prefers the great outdoors. Bless her.

Never had morphine, and truly am grateful it hasn't been required. My dad had it when they operated on his nose. As kids we loved his spaced out drugged persona. He did say it was awesome if not entirely effective.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Omega Paw Roll Away Self Cleaning Litter Box.

I've used that one. I thought it was brilliant in its simplicity - very easy to use. The one drawback is that the actual area for the cat to use is significantly smaller than in a traditional litter box. And it is not really a huge problem - do try to get hold of the extra large one, and be aware if you succumb the charms of a 20 lb. linebacker of a cat that it simply might not fit.

The main reason I no longer use it, is that I prefer Feline Pine pellets to regular clumping litter. But the clumping litter I liked best, both for it's natural, non-toxic make-up, and for it's superior clumping abilities, is World's Best Cat Litter. It is made of corn, so if your cat ends up with the stuff sticking to its paws after using it, at least it is not ingesting clay plus artificial odor control stuff.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have survived Trader Joe's. It was ridiculously crowded -- the line was literally going around the entire store. But I now have sesame noodles and beer. Plus some actual food, but those are the two I care about right now.

I am home and with Vicodin! Hells yeah! DW is heading out for supplies. I am on the lookout for kitties that might want to jump on me.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am still in DC (well, technically, Arlington VA). My uncle died yesterday. Will be here till Saturday.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

OK. Thanks for the litter tray feedback, y'all, and the link to the leather repair, Omnis (the latter looks a lot cheaper than a new jacket--plus I'm emotionally attached to the current one). WindSparrow, you're the second or third person whose suggested the World's Best Cat litter in the context of the rolling litter pan; it must be great stuff.

Yay for home resting, GC!

Nora, I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you.
