Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Wait, so she named the kid Tripp, when she's got a brother named Trig who's only a few months older than the kid? Sure, and that's not going to sound confusing at ALL....eesh.

I'm SOOOO bad with the accents. I KNOW I am, but I didn't realize HOW bad until I heard a video I'd taken while hanging out with Fay and her friends and roomies when I was in Egypt--they were all UK-ers of some sort (British, Welsh, Scottish). I am NOT. And when I got home and was playing the video, I was like "wait, whose voice is THAT?" ...and then realized it was ME. And that my accent was all KINDS of crazy, to the point where I didn't even recognize my own voice. That's how bad it was.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Shir, I am sorry to hear you were fired. Badness.

Phooey. A key just fell off my keyboard. I hope it goes back on again.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

{{{{Nora}}}} Sanity~ma for you.

I absorb accents, too, depending on what I hear a lot of. If I watch a lot of PBS, I start sounding like Hyacinth more British than usual. Currently I have yet to absorb enough Scandihoovian to cancel out the rural Arizona, and I have to concentrate a bit to actually stay in Standard Spoken American English, which is my birthright as a Clevelander.

One thing about the Who fic archive, A Teaspoon and An Open Mind - a shortcut to some good authors would be to look for my page there, under Wind Sparrow, and check out my favorites [link] They are definitely skewed to Doctor/Rose shippers, but I believe that several of them do gen. as well as other ships.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, that reminds me: that fic Kristin linked to, how spoilery is it for someone who didn't see yet the 4th season but knows that Donna is there? Also, thank you for white fonting your post for that, Kristin.

Update: a solider was killed last night in one of the bases of the south. I hope it wasn't someone my sis knew, or in her base. A "special situation" declared in every town/city 30 km from Gaza Strip. My country's still killing way too much, saying it wants to wipe off Hamas. Idiots. I think they try to create a new balance of terror power. Still doesn't answer the question why now, and not 8 years ago/two years and a half ago, when Israel evacuated the settlements in the Strip.

The status is NOT quo.

Shir, the first silly fic isn't spoilery at all, but I think you'll enjoy it more once you've seen Donna and the Doctor together in season four. The other fic is all spoilery since it picks up at the end of season four.

Also, I'm continuing to keep you and the whole Middle East in my thoughts.

As for accents, I pick them up like no tomorrow. And I'm pretty good at slipping in and out of various voices & accents. Freaked an exGF out. Especially when I did Gollum.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Shir is Sderot one of the places that is being hit by missles? My friend from Jerusalem posted a video (Bless her she has the softest heart) and I didn't know if it was current or was from a while back.

Sderot is THE place that got hit by rockets for the past 8 years. So it could be dated.
