There is FROZEN WATER on the GROUND in BURBANK!
Oh, good!
You got my gift.
I saved a piece in the freezer. It's nice and sharp.
I have a gift for you, too. You should come within striking distance over here so I can give it to you.
Oz ,'First Date'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

For me, Sean, the joy is in the giving. I really couldn't accept any vengeance reciprocation from you.
Enjoy your gift and think of me fondly.
Today's xkcd is very funny. The hover-over box may weird out the non-slash-inclined. Or the non-real-person-slash-inclined. Or anything with a vivid imagination.
You can't hover over with that link, tho.
And yeah? Real people slash. Kinda odd even for XKCD.
Happy Boxing Day, Bitches.
It was a weird one for me - having already done the whole family thing just the week prior, and all. So M and I hung out and entertained various bartenders on the Eve, and then on the Day we went over to G's and had mucho food and fun. It was Good. Mostly.
I am at work today and TIRED. We had a great Movie Day yesterday. Met up with a bunch of folks for breakfast, then saw The Spirit, Doubt, Frost/Nixon and Gran Torino. I really liked Doubt and Frost/Nixon and thought the other two were okay. Meryl Streep continues to rock like a rocking thing and is a joy to watch onscreen.
On a break between films we went to a friend's house and got to see their five-year-old take his first ride on a big kid bike. Lovely.
Oh Sean, I'm glad S is doing better. I hope she'll be released from the hospital soon.
Now, smart Bitches, I need your advice.
I think I told before the stories about my awful Greek Mythology lecturer (I need to clarify something first: not all of my lecturers are professors, so to the ones that aren't I call lecturer). It's not that he's awful, as much as its interpretations to the mythology and he's very B/W POV are.
And that makes me insane. Now, I can go on with the six following weeks and pass the notoriously easy exam the class has, but I fear I'd lose much sanity from hearing another "the triumph of women over men is that they make them (men) fall in love with them (women)" (declarations like this happens about 5-6 times per class). Or I can cancel it and take another class instead next semester, but you know, no one promises it'll be any better.
I think the last class on Thursday with his approach to Persephone's story as with "there might have been rape, but in the end she obviously loved him because he gave her his pomegranate to eat and therefor she had miss him" snapped me.
I don't know if it worths the logistical effort, but now I'm thinking that maybe confront him in class about the way he teaches those stories might be worth the agony of sitting in there and listening to another twisted approach to mythology.
I don't know what to do. And he is a nice person. Or maybe I should check if he really believes in the stuff he teaches before I'd make such judgement, and if he does, I'd definitely will leave this class. For the sake of the other students in my class, I'd say there are few who tries to argue with him or present a different approach from time to time, but it's not stopping him from teaching as if he's living in the 15th century.
Good to hear encouraging news with S. I know her problems still exist, but glad that it wasn't a more serious hospital stay.
Yay movies! The Frost/Nixon promos have scared me. The voices and acting in the ads I have seen are almost cartoon-like. I remember the originals well and don't know if I dare see the movie. Are my fears warranted, Scrappy? What did you think of it?
Feel free to ignore my advice because I was a shameless grade whore in school. The professor was always right. Sky purple, you betcha. I'm far more outspoken in my old age, but I sure had good grades back in the day. When I was in school I might have taken the A, then had the discussion about the class after the final.
We spent Christmas day with DH's family for about 10 hours. A good time was had by all.
I really liked F/N, Laura. Not cartoony and lots of exploration of media and image and truth and other cool stuff like that. Go see it!
Sean, I'm so glad to hear from you. Next time please respond to my text, even if all you say is "go away" so I don't fret all night, k? I was really worried that I hadn't heard from you after Becca said you never showed and she hadn't heard from you the other night.
P.S. It's going to be 70 on Monday, so the sun shall return.
