Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I went to eat Indian food and see South Pacific at Lincoln Center. Variation on the usual Chinese food and movie theme. The food and the show were both very good. Actually, the show was really good.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gronk. Home now. We had a great day with TCG's family. The little girls that have a crush on him were there, and they would not leave him alone today. It was so cute. They saw me first and forget about saying hello. The first words out of their mouths were, ''Where's your boyfriend?''

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Kids and I had a good day. Stockings and prezzies in the morning, but at a reasonable hour for once. STBX came over around noon to exchange prezzies with them and share dinner. He left, I napped and then took the kids to a movie. They picked Bedtime Stories which was fun.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Today was really wonderful, but I am majorly full of gronk. And food. Spent all day at the daughter's visiting with the kids. Drank totally too much holiday cheer. Played with dogs (a yorkie, a papillion and a whippet) and petted kitties. My nephew, dad and brother came over in the afternoon for dinner and presents. Some folks played Operation (now with new sounds-barks and farts @@.) Some watched youtube videos of motorcycle racing and jet planes. The rest of us watched bunches of Torchwood (I got both season one and season two, hoot!) I am now ahemming the Doctor Who Christmas special before I finally call it a night. A totally wonderful Christmas! I hope all y'all's been merry and bright, too!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Today was kind of low-key, but good. Thanks to Snowpocalypse, we weren't able to make it over to the big holiday party at my friend's house. So my parents came over to our place, as did a couple other friends. Mom brought over everything for steak and baked potatoes, and her addictive artichoke dip. (Which I have the left-overs of in the fridge, muah-ha-ha!)

I had a Very Adam Ant Christmas - Pete gave me a bunch of re-mastered CDs, a DVD of all his videos, and his autobiography in two formats (book and audio book, read by Adam). After I unwrapped the third Antmusic goodie, I said I felt an urge to go draw a white stripe across my face with makeup.

Actually, the theme of my presents from Pete was Jilli's Rock Star Crush Objects, because in addition to the Adam Ant goodies, he also gave me the super-deluxe limited edition of the Umbrella Academy collection and an UA coffee mug.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

muah-ha-ha!

Your mocking is an evil mock. Mmmm, that dip is amazing. I am going to beg for the recipe sometime, just watch me. Well, ask. Your mom would totally share for she is not a mocking mocker who mocks.

Mom already said she'd email it to you if you ask.

I have not actually gotten any presents (well, unless you count the blanket with the company name embroidered on it, that I got last week). Which is kinda sad-making, though temporary. I'll get a few next week when I go home. N is being stupid and insisting she doesn't know what to get me, and both of us have been hampered in holiday shopping by the Snowpocalypse, admittedly (though she's also just being dumb). I gave her the one present (of three) that had arrived (a little Shiba Inu puppy calendar, intended as PuppyCam methadone).

But we went to see Benjamin Button with a friend (enjoyed the movie, didn't quite get why everyone else in the theater felt the need to cry at the end. Apparently I am cold hearted? So is N), then went over to another friend's house and played Scrabble and watched movies, after a nearly fruitless search for a supermarket or restaurant that was open so we could eat something. Oy! We almost ended up eating Subway, as apparently ALL of those were open (supermarkets and most restaurants? NO. Walgreen's and Subway and Starbucks? yes.) Finally found a bar that serves (chinese!) food, and so continued my run of faux-Judaism, chinese food and movies.

The first showing of Benjamin Button we tried to see was sold out (we got there a few minutes late) and we contemplated seeing something else, but my one friend was like "How about 'Doubt'?" and i was like "NO! If I wanted Catholocism on Christmas, I would BE AT CHURCH!"

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Hey, folks. I know I don't post all that often these days, but I wanted to take some time in deepest, darkest winter to thank you all for being some of the shiniest lights in my life.

I loves me some Buffistas, oh yes I do.

Love and ~ma to those in need; you are all in my thoughts and my profile address is good. I hope to have more time and enrgy to post in the new year.

Let's continue to be excellent to one another; we've gotten through a whole lot of crap together, and there is no doubt more on the way. But there will also be shared celebrations and fannish squee, romances and degrees and karate belts and all manner of silliness.

There is no other group of people I would rather share my joys and sorrows with than the Buffistas. Thank you for everything.

Shir, you have mail at your profile address.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Karl, all my day needed was seeing your presence. It was a kind of strange xmas, with some key people missing and some key traditions falling through. The kind of thing that could, in another mindset, leave me in a real funk. And yet at the end of the day I'm feeling pretty good about how everything went. And enjoying reading the tales of other people's more traditional celebrations. Anyway, you always cheer me up just by being here, so I wanted to say that.

I also am dying to see Jilli's mother's artichoke dip recipe, because I'm wondering if it's the same as my mother's, which is crazy addictive and I now feel a hankering to make.
