Mal: That's not what I saw. You like to tell me what really happened? Book: I surely would. And maybe someday I will.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

The firing doesn't stop. They're saying on the news it's over 30 rockets by now, which means it's probably around 50 (they don't say the actual numbers so they won't fright the people. As if).

It's such a shitty feeling of helplessness.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Sean, man, I can't believe this. Wishing S a speedy recovery and renewed strength, and wishing you the biggest damn hug in the history of hugdom. 2009 owes you guys BIG TIME.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am sad and cranky and ready to go home. I hope I get some holiday spirit back overnight. I love my family. I really do. I'm not quite sure what's wrong with me.

Well, I love my family too but too much togetherness is... TOO MUCH. It's an evolutionary thing that forces us to move out of their homes, I think! You've been out there for DAYS already, right? I would have lost it after day 2.

Well, I'm off to Maine for extended time with my family. Merry Xmas (or Happy Holidays) Buffistas!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

(((Shir))) You and your sister are in my thoughts today.

Merry Christmas Eve to those who celebrate it. Today is my favorite day of the year.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Here I am waiting for my flight. TSA is "randomly" checking boarding passes and IDs -- of people who've already gone through security. Right now they seem to be "randomly" checking the middle-eastern-appearing travelers. But maybe that's just my observational bias, and any minute they'll come over here and check the blonde people.

I may be posting a lot, as I have not much else to do today!

Our wings are not tired.

Safe and sane travels, Emily.

{{Shir and family}} Peace.

{{Sean}} I hope that S is doing better this morning and that you had some renewing rest.

I've finished wrapping. I had a couple things for Evil!SIL's 10yo son. I wrapped them in a very big box filled with packing peanuts. Fear me.

We'll be heading over to visit with my family on the west coast as soon as I get showered and dressed. Then back late tonight. It is 5 hours round trip, but saner than staying over.

Joy filled days to all of you!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Speedy travels, Emily!

It looks like my son and DiL's flight took off on time. O'Hare must not be having any delays. Yay! Too bad their flight into Madison gets here at rush hour. Ugh. We've had a couple more inches of snow and the streets are going to be just crap.
