Teppy, I hope you're feeling better. Yikes. Been a seriously crappy couple of weeks for you. You deserve a healthy, happy New Year.
I could do a Christmas letter solely involving all the whack-ass ailments that have befallen me this year. It's really sad.
I finally got a post-ER shower at midnight (prior to that, I was sleeping and/or just felt too weak), and it was the best shower ever.
Also? I'm looking forward to eating soft-boiled eggs and an english muffin for breakfast tomorrow. I haven't had solid food in 32 hours. And I generally love soft-boiled eggs anyway (the secret? cook them for 4 minutes, not 3, unless you like them massively albumin-y). I could eat them every day.
The Foods I Could Eat Every Day:
soft-boiled eggs
sushi
baked or mashed potatoes
good sourdough bread
Swiss cheese
peanut butter
Mmmmm...peanut butter. Yup, I definitely have my appetite back.
Not much. I think the last procedure has worn off. Still, I'm to get a much more permanent (this time they'll kill instead of numb) nerve treatment in the new year. Can't wait. Today is a particularly bad head day.
Goddamn it! Woman, whilst I am, as ever, impressed by your stoicism, I am vibing angry vibes at the universe to FIX THIS SHIT ALREADY. Fingers, toes and every other damn thing crossed for the new year bringing this crap to a close for you.
The pup woke me at 6:30 a.m. this morning, took one look at the weather (cold, rainy) and has so far refused to go outside. While I applaud her common sense, I wish I could have done so at, say, 8 a.m.
Hivemind question. For those Ambien takers. Do you get very vivid dreams? I've gotten great sleep, but I wake up remembering the oddest dreams. I rarely, if ever, remember dreams.
Suzi, that's pretty much par for the course for me.
This Post Secret postcard made my day.
So, yesterday I sent my Seekrit Santa parcel winging its way to the States to my Mystery Giftee. I v. much hope it gets there intact, and is not eaten by monsters!
This snow can srop any time now.
