I was out sledding!! The streets are mostly closed
I have nothing to go sledding with, otherwise I would bundle back up and go to the park that's a block from our house. When we walked by it earlier, the entire neighborhood was there sledding down the (gentle) hills.
when I was a kid we had a toboggan. Major good times. dang I miss the snow.
We had ye olde Flexible Flyer and I had a silver saucer, that thing was awesome.
I got the sweetest card from my boss today. Really, it made me all verklempt.
Also got bunches of presents from the kiddos, including a nice, plump GC to the bookstore. YAY!
Now I'm thinking I should have done something for the kiddos. Oops.
I don't have a sled, but I went outside, and lo and behold, there were hipster guys with beer and sleds, and they were friendly, and let me join them.
Other people were sledding with snowboards, wakeboards, cardboard, adn even one small child in a laundrybasket.
The Seattlistas are giving me snow envy.
If I want to sled, all I have to do is get into my car and head home. Dodging the maniacs who have apparently forgotten they drove through this mess this morning.
It was snowing as I left work today...instead of flakes, it was much more, ummm, dippin-dot-like. Vera odd.
Quote from one bookstore employee to another:
I wish I was smart enough to read smart people books.
I'm a little disturbed that my box office cashier has never heard of Rocky Horror.
