Hey, can anyone recommend a good resource (or explanation) to explain why we as a country get involved in humanitarian missions, as opposed to only responding when our national security is directly threatened?
Gosh, having conservative students is fun. (Actually, it is fun. It's just also frustrating.)
How do I already need a nap?
Didn't need to be said twice.
Well, it was a second wind.
The bra saga continues. Got the new brown bras yesterday aaaannd . . . they don't fit. The band is too tight and the cups gap wierdly. Plus, they're padded. I hate that. And I asked specifically about the padding and was told that it was only on the sides. Now, the question is, go buy the OTB in black that's $60, or try to find alternative bras tonight? I leave tomorrow.
Go to the place with the OTB, see if they have any alternative bras and, if not, grit your teeth and pay the 60 bucks?

It's Nordstrom, all of the bras will be in that range. If it was the brown one, I wouldn't blink.
vw, your comment about CBD asking for a playdate with Toto reminded me of a line in a Bujold book, about someone being "one of those feral types that leave you asking ' am I crazy? am *I* crazy?' ". It might be unconscious, but it sounds like he's playing games with your brain (and a playdate with your brain is so not a good thing).
Vortex, perhaps you need to bring the boobs of war (cf your tagline) to the place that sent you the bad bras.

There will occasionally be ones on sale there. I'm wearing a GORGIE Wacoal one that I got for 1/2 price there earlier this year. But, yeah, I'm pretty much resigned to paying at least $60 for bras that work for me.
After finding some Wacoals on sale at Loehmann's in San Francisco with javachik, they are my OTB.
So, school-related panic of this morning is fixed. I was able to take another stab at explaining things, and the prof came around. Thank goodness!
