Three of my friends had painless contractions. THREE. And I really don't have that many friends.
One barely made it to the hospital because she woke up in the morning ready to give birth.
One had both her children in under three hours of hospital time.
And now I'm going to go and KICK that chick's ASS. Where is she, Sparky? I'm puttin' the hurt on her.

She's a 60+ year old woman, and she's known for telling these kinds of stories whenever there is something health/medical. Which is why I cut her off and told her I didn't want to hear it.
I very calmly told her that I appreciated the apology, but I'd thought I'd made myself very clear with regard to her story and if I didn't then I was doing so now: I would not be discussing any medical issues/decisions with her - those are private and off-limits now and forever.
But I still want to throttle her.

Sparky, both my deliveries were uneventful. I even drove myself to the office when Bobby was 7 days old because I was bored. I think some smiting is called for here.

So, I'm going to do an indoor snowball fight with the kids tomorrow. I found the idea for this game online, and they suggest using ping pong balls, but jeesh, they're expensive. So, I'm thinking of giving each kid 10 pieces of 8.5x14 paper, and have them make their own. Do we think those balls would have enough momentum for the kids to have fun? Honestly, I think they'll be less dangerous too...
