[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ha! TCG makes the same joke about my weather predicting body and the lotto numbers.

The weirdest weather-related physical predictor I've heard is from my brother (unsurprisingly). His very first tattoo was the word "IRELAND," across his upper back between his shoulder blades. (Yes, the family is *maybe* 1/4 Irish, probably less. It's not like we just came over on the boat.)

Anyway, the person who did the tattoo -- in big Gothic script letters -- was apparently just learning how to tattoo. I don't know what mistake would lead to this effect, but whenever a big rainfall is on the way, my brother's IRELAND tattoo actually *raises up* slightly, like a topographical map.

Fucking weird, no?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've heard that tattoo needles going too deep can cause a raised effect but I never heard of it being controlled by the weather. freaky.

IIRC some inks have metal in them, which can be painful in MRI's. I wonder if it's related to that. Still very weird!

So? Should I feel guilty for spending most of the afternoon playing around on Netflix? Doing ratings, adding junk to the cue. And I find it very funny that one whole page of recommendations was stuff I already own on DVD. Of course, the boss keeps asking *me* is it time to go yet, so I think I'll be leaving early today! Woot! Gotta love being salaried.

aaand I just got a mileage check! Woot! trip to the bank! (sorry, for the past 11 years my job didn't reimburse for work related travel, so to get $200 for driving here/there in 4 or so months is awesome!

Right? It's a regular flat tattoo most of the time -- until it rains. Fucking bizarre.

brillig

Hubby can predict weather changes to the hour, depending on which joint gets involved when.

He'd like to be surprised by the weather again.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've heard that tattoo needles going too deep can cause a raised effect but I never heard of it being controlled by the weather.

My tattoo's done that a handful of times but not (to my recollection) weather related. I always thought it was some kind of allergic reaction. If it happens again I'll have to take note of the barometric pressure or something.

The status is NOT quo.

I've said goodbye in case things go badly. I'm trying to compose myself enough to drive home safely. Also, on a material note, if anyone knows of a way to get adopted by a millionaire looking to lavish his or her wealth on someone, please let me know. I don't think I have ever had so many emergency costs in a single year in my life.

Okay, enough about sad stuff. Can we think of something fun to talk about? Or something happy? I don't want to keep making everyone feel like they have to comfort me.
