Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

omg! One of the FSU football players is going to be on the Colbert Report. I don't know when, his name is Myron Rolle and he's awesome. Star football player, Rhodes Scholar, pre med. actually he's finished with bachelor's work. He's created an entire curriculum about health and fitness for a Seminole charter school and went down and taught that to the kids. He wants to open up medical clinics in countries with extreme need.

He's a really sweet nice guy. He actually missed part of a football game for his Rhodes Scholarship interview, the NCAA approved a private plane to fly him back to the game, and then after the game (which FSU won), his teammates poured the cooler of Gatorade on him instead of the coach.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Smonster! Sean! javachik! Hi, all. Good to see your fonts. Seems like there should be licking, or something, to celebrate.

Wisdom tooth removal again, while painful, doesn't have to be the ordeal that many people make of it (unless the tooth in question is badly impacted).

I thoroughly enjoyed the procedure itself thanks to the wonder that is nitrous oxide. The pain of the abcess that caused the surgery was highly unpleasant, but less than the sore throat I had a few weeks ago while on vacation. And while I didn't love the pain after the procedure, with the vicodan plus ibuprofen, it was ok.

Mammography~ma, Suzi.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh, COOL! I love Myron-- his parents raised all four of those boys right and they're all insane overachievers.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Has bruised other people and in one case drawn blood--check

Oz was plenty happy to see me when I first arrived. It was only when I came bearing two NEW! OTHER! kitties in crates that he whapped my ankle.

As much as I don't like getting beat up by a cat, I totally get why it happened.

Yippee for Sparky!! Congrats!!

Hi, Bitches. What's the haps?
Smonster!!!!!

(140 new posts? In 7-8 hours? You want to kill me, people?)
No kidding! Thankfully I'm avoiding work as much as possible. I blame all the legalese reading I was doing first thing on rebates for wireless mic's.

I'm going to have my wisdom tooth pulled out tomorrow. ~mas would be greatly appreciated
Yikes! May the drugs work wonders, may the dentist hands be small, and procedure be smooth and quick, and recovery be fast.

Also also, omnis is awesome and gonna send me bake goods. That totally makes up for Stupid People today.
So much for the super seekrit messages. No pressure on me now. What if baked goods come out horrible tasting?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hi everyone! ~ma to those who need it.

(Sorry. Memory not quite working right now.)

The new meds I got will put me to sleep, so I'm not taking them until a little later. I'm kind of annoyed that the doctor would only give me Flexeril and Celebrex, and not a stronger pain killer. I mean, it's not like I was asking for opiates or anything. But I've had Issues with this doctor in the past. This is the one who once told me, when I went in with a sore throat, that there was nothing wrong with my throat, but I needed to lose 60 pounds. (Turned out, I had tonsillitis. I went back and saw a different doctor the next day.)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Congrats, Sparky!

Oh right, mammograms. I'm supposed to schedule one in the near future. AND I'm supposed to make an appointment to get wisdom teeth yanked. Yes, I've been dragging my feet about doing both.

ION, I need a sure-fire get-rich-quick scheme, so I can spend $225 (plus shipping!) on a hat. [link]

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I have NO idea if that helps at all.

That was tremendously helpful, Barb! Thank you - it makes much more sense now! (And thanks to everyone else too, but I have to say Barb's explanation was the one that made me go 'Oh, I see!')

Our wings are not tired.

Am I crazy for ordering a red "World Phucking Champions" t-shirt for my Philly-born CEO as a Christmas present?

'cause I did. Now let's just see if I have the ova to give it to him...
