Ok. It's kind of hitting me, and I really need to go to bed because the crying headache is gonna kill me.
Oh, crap. I hate that feeling, knowing I want to cry, and knowing it'll give me and awful headache and make me feel even WORSE. Damn. Hugs, honey. That's just shitty all around. Why can't everyone be the people we want them to be?
{{{ vw }}} hang in there. You are one of the tuffest folks I know. You got a heart bigger than Texas.
{{{ Hil's shoulder }}} If it's still hurting you, I think you need to do more than just get pain meds. You might want to think about having that looked at. By chance is it the shoulder you carry your book bag on?
Pix you feeling better?
Dropping you a line, fixed mine as well.
backflung at ya. Shouldn't you be in class or something?
Off to bed. My brain has absorbed disc 1 of season 1 of Lost. And now just past the halfway point of season 1 of Friday Night Lights. The advantage to cold nights, lots of TV watching. brrrrr. Gotta find the extra blanket.

I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and I'm 98% certain that's what's causing this pain. I carry my books in a backpack on both shoulders -- anything that's just on one shoulder makes me walk all crooked and screws up my back.

Hil, if I could find you a cabana boy to get you good drugs and give you gentle massages, I'd have Hannukah Hank plop him under the menorah.
Timelies!
Hil, I hope you're feeling better, and definitely go get it checked out. This has been going on for a while now.
Good morning, vw. I hope you got some decent rest last night. I want you to know that I have been continuously impressed with the accomplishments you have made. The obstacles you have had to overcome have been substantial. You are so close to achieving your goals and it is that much more important that you surround yourself with supportive friends. After all that you have been through to achieve your independence and finish your education, you should be damn proud of yourself. I know I am proud of you.
Hil, have you dislocated the shoulder recently? Does your doctor recommend any type of brace or support? Yes, time for better drugs.

Haven't fully dislocated it, but I did have a few partials. I've been wearing a sling off and on, and it helps a little, but not much. I woke up with it feeling worse than it did last night, and student health opens in twenty minutes, so I'm getting dressed and heading over.
Laura, thank you so much. The weird thing is, I think I actually know that. And he couldn't see it, and I can't be with someone who can't see that.
And I'm actually handling this amazingly well. I keep waiting for it to really hit me and for me to totally lose my shit, and I haven't yet.
Feel better, Hil!
In re the religion discussion, down here the humanist association bought ads on the buses which say "You don't have to believe in a god. Be good for goodness' sake." and they've inspired a fair amount of controversy. Now the Christians are taking up collections to buy their own ads refuting the atheist propoganda. They're getting lots of money. Sadly, the humanists have spent their entire advertising budget.
